Season of Lent

As we enter the sacred season of Lent on this Ash Wednesday, we invite all Peterites and their families to embrace this solemn time of grace with prayerful hearts and renewed devotion.

Lent calls us to deeper prayer, sincere fasting, and generous alms giving - spiritual disciplines that purify our hearts, strengthen our faith, and draw us ever closer to God.

May this holy season be a time of true reflection and conversion, fostering within us a spirit of humility, repentance, and steadfast love.

May it also deepen the bonds of brotherhood that unite us as one community in Christ.

As we receive the ashes and hear the sacred reminder, “Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return,” may we be mindful of our human frailty and our complete dependence on God’s mercy and grace.
