A walk down memory lane...
Peterite Alumni Association, Ontario
Our beginning
Many Peterites gathered at 11753 Shepherd Avenue East to agree that the time was ripe to form a Peterite Alumni Association. Srimal Abeyawardene spearheaded the move and once papers of incorporation were approved by Ontario, the first of committee meetings was held in 2014.
2014/2016
Prabhakaran Nakulesparan was elected as President, holding office for 2015/2016 period.

Per Constitution the President can hold office by re-election for a term of 2 years.
​
Events held during the term 2015 -2016 included;
Christmas Social “Golden Gleam 2015”,
Spring dance in 2016,

2016/2018
James Alagaratnam was elected president of the PAAO for the term 2016/2018.
Highlights of this term, was “Nostalgia” a concert featuring well known Peterite singers together with popular expatriate singers.
The year 2017 coincided with the 95th anniversary of the founding of St. Peter’s.
A picnic, Childrens X’mas Party, and culminating in a spring dance were some enjoyable events enjoyed by members and other alumni as well.

Rector Rev. Fr. Trevor Martin paid a visit to Toronto and he was given a joint reception by the O.B.U. of St. Benedict’s and the PAAO.

2018/2021
Ricardo Joseph was elected President for the term 2018/ 2020. But due to covid restrictions of 2020, the term was extended 2021.
The annual inter school cricket matches and rugby matches with representation from old boys was resumed.
2021/2023
Terrance Raja was elected president 2021/2023, and had the honor of chairing events for the Centenary celebrations of College.
One of the largest dances attended in Toronto was held in “The Scarborough Convention Centre”.
In 2022. The dance was attended by Peterites and well wishers alike from all over the world. The dance with a dynamic committee headed by Shanil Fernando set the yardstick for future dances. Interschool Cricket, rugby, Basketball have now become calendar events for each year.
